How do I specify the active door in my double door unit?
Looking always from outside the building, select whether the one on your left or the one on your right handside would be the active door.

- Yes, single bore with roller catch preparation is available for customers who would be using pull handles only, that is, locking systems with deadbolt only (No latch at all).
- What does Standard Hardware Preparation mean?

- Standard preparation is a double bore of 2-1/8" diameter each, 2-3/8" backset, and 5-1/2" center to center. Any other preparation that doesn't follow these specs, would need a template or be specified before production.
What is the rough opening?
The R.O. is the surrounding measurements inside the door frame from beam to beam for the width and from the header down to the concrete for the height. If it is new construction it will depend on the dimensions of the entryway.
What is a jamb?
A jamb is the side and headlining that surrounds the door. The width is determined by the wood used to frame the doorway. Most doors are framed with either 2"x4" or 2"x6" pieces of lumber. This is why the most popular jamb widths are 4-5/8" and 6-5/8".
What does prehung mean?
It means the slab has been mounted into the jamb. Typically hinges are applied, and the door is bored for door hardware. The unit will arrive ready for professional installation.
What is a slab?
A slab refers to a door by itself without a jamb or hardware.
How long does it take to build a door?
The industry standard is 8-10 weeks depending on the type of door.
